About this place
When visiting Wine Shokudo Hannamamma along a quiet side street in Hatanodai, the signature Asashime pasta is the natural place to start. Built around littleneck clams and shimeji mushrooms, brought together with seafood broth and original spices, this flagship dish is celebrated for the concentrated savory depth and balanced salinity released from the clams. The kitchen also turns out numerous variations, from the Asashime Double with doubled toppings and seaweed, to a fisherman-style version loaded with mussels, baby shrimp, and squid, alongside preparations finished with ripe tomato, Genovese pesto, or carbonara sauce.
True to its name as a wine-centric bistro, the menu includes a substantial assortment of small plates tailored to leisurely drinking. Popular options for pairing with a first glass include mozzarella and anchovy crostini—served on oven-baked baguette with a rich anchovy butter sauce—and a signature seven-item appetizer platter. Dishes like penne gorgonzola, pizza, and ajillo provide further variety across the table.
The dining room is anchored by counter seating and maintains an unhurried, calm feel suited to both an easy solo lunch and dinner without formality. Set meals and coffee are served during lunch hours, making the shop a dependable midday stop. Keep in mind that payments are cash only, so having yen on hand before dropping by is recommended.
